Recently, Apple launched its new operating system for the iPhone IOS 17.5. this update is supported in devices from iPhone XR to iPhone 15 pro max. Through this update, Apple claims they have solved many glitches in some apps. This update launched on the 8th of this month. As I have updated my Apple devices with eh IOS 17.5 I am here with a review of the new IOS features.
What’s new in the update:
This IOS 17.5 update is available for both iPhones and I Pad. Apple claims that they have fixed many bugs and glitches which occurred from the previous update. As per my results, the AnTuTu bench scores of the device increased in the good values which made a good change in the performance of the phone.
While getting into the iconic Apple app update. Where the Apple News app updated with the new games in the apps. We have access to new games in the app.
The next new thing on the phone is in the books app. Where we read some books on the phone. Here the activity status added to the home screen of the app. Which shows you the percentage of book completion.
Security enhancements by Apple:
Before this update security in the web browser was quite less when compared with the Android OS. But through this update, Apple has provided passkeys for access browsers. This enables fingerprint confirmation or face recognition to open the browser.
One biggest security features brought by Apple blows our minds. We all know that some of the apps are taking our data to personal use. Through this feature, we can able to track the apps that are collecting our data. This setting needs to be turned on otherwise it won’t get any data.
There was much news regarding the misuse of air tags or some other tracking devices. As they are tracking us and robbing our cars and houses. But through this update, we can keep an eye on the devices that are near to us and tracking us. This new feature brought up alerts for unwanted tracking from any device. This system designed in collaboration with Google and Apple. This alert system is provided for both Android and Apple users. From now no one can track us with these tags.
New things that blow your mind:
All you have heard is that Apple is going to bring the feature that we can download any app from a browser. Through this update, Apple users have access to download apps from browsers. But this feature is available only for the users of Europe. In any other part of the world, users cannot use these features.
And I have faced a problem when my device was given to the repair. I had no faith in the shop as the phone was costly. But there was no option other than logging out the phone and handing it over in the shop. Through finding my device I cannot track the phone. But now there is a new feature released. The Find My Device shows a repair option, where you can opt for that thing. This feature enables you to track your phone even if it is at the repair shop with a logout of Apple ID.
