BCCI is not only the most powerful but it is most richest board which can run a country easily with the money it has. ICC (International cricket council) which holds all the international events. This the last time a country visited Pakistan for series. Australia had also cancelled the tour due to bomb threating in karachi airport. In the 2019 Sri Lanka has went to Pakistan for a long series which includes test, t20, ODI. These series of events made them to prove Pakistan is safe. But there are other reasons why they haven’t attacked the players in visit.
But any of the big cricket boards like India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa were not ready to visit them.
Pakistan to host next champions trophy 2025:
PCB has got the rights to host champions trophy 2025. Which is an important event for them to prove them they are safe. Even Pakistan government has allotted to build a good stadium for the event. This event will regains the trust on Pakistan not only in cricket but in many other aspects.
Due to their requests and their proofs for the security justifications all cricket boards were to visit Pakistan for champions trophy 2025. But BCCI has shown its reluctance towards Pakistan hosting the event.

Visit of players is not in India hand of BCCI or players. Indian government need to approve the visit of Indian players to Pakistan. Pakistan suggested many options for the BCCI regarding venues. Lahore is the place in Pakistan which is just beside the border. PCB stated that Indian matches are going to held their so Indian players can easly fly back to India after match completed. But BCCI clearly stated no Indian player is going to step on Pakistan land.
Why Pakistan demanding India visit:
India is the key team in any of the event. Sponsorships and match views rises only when India is in the play. Even the champions trophy is held in Pakistan, the advertisement of it is done through Virat Kohli’s posters. That’s the impact of India in cricket. India VS Pakistan is a high voltage match which grabs a lot of money through audience and sponsorships.
Pakistan has spent crores of rupees building stadiums and renovations. To recover all that money they need good sponsorship and an audience in their grounds. All these things happens only when India is in the game.
ICC moves:
ICC has not opportunity rather than accepting BCCI words most of the times. Because BCCI contributes almost 40%+ wealth to ICC every year. Which is the highest by any cricket board. So ICC always choose BCCI over other cricket boards in these tournaments. If ICC need to choose PCB or BCCI. Undoubtedly they go for ICC. ICC is trying to convince Pakistan for hybrid or moving the venue to South Africa or India.
